Old News:
4.08.04 - As a late night desire, I thought I would do a rather thorough site re-design. Not a whole lot really changed, just some graphic related items (including the collage on the intro screen). Expect pictures from our last show to be added to the Sight page in the near future. Also due to clutter, old news was moved its own page. The link is at the bottom of this page.
04.07.04 - Despite the lack of news updates, Orion's been busy. We've played 3 shows, written a handful of new songs, and been out causing a great deal of our usual trouble and intrigue. There has been high-quality video taken of our last two shows, and the product was quite nice. I'm going to try and get ahold of a digital copy of this, and if I ever learn how, put it up on the site. Also, a great deal of pictures were taken, and if anyone happens to have some that they could loan us, please do so, our sight page needs some updating. Later this week we intend to do some preliminary recording. We hope to have things finalized near the end of June, if all things work out the way they ideally will. We do have a show this weekend with The Klopex, a band from Columbia that called us up, asking if they could play with us, and Sylas, a local band, with this being their first show. If the demo is any indication, they should rock mightily!
11.13.03 - I updated the Sight page with the pictures from Natalie's Birthday party (in a timely manner, woo-hoo!). Check it out!
11.12.03 - We had an excellent time playing Natalie's Birthday party. I hope all who attended did as well. Things have been seemingly quiet in the Orion world. The primary reason for this is that the current focus for the guys is recording a quality demo/EP. Hopefully by early next year (at the latest), you'll be able to take the music home with you. Oh, and in the near future, expect to see new pictures in the sight section (about time).
10.13.03 - The show on Thursday, and the previous Saturday were both big successes. All who attended, we thank you. For anyone who showed up at the ballroom and expected to see us on Saturday, we apologize, we were informed on Thursday that they had double booked us with a band from St. Louis, and so, obviously, we couldn't play. We do have more shows coming up. Just check out the shows link. The show this Thursday is rumored to be a Halloween oriented show, so costumes should definitely be considered (this isn't a definite, so look for flyers or ask someone associated with the band). I recently re-made the main logo on the page. I'm not sure if that's a permanent thing, or if it will undergo some more revision. The site itself will soon be re-made (I'm going to actually go through the tutorial this time), so, be excited.
9.28.03 - Okay, so the site wasn't maintained over the summer, bite me. There was some computer upgrading and accidents, so I was without the ability to do anything about it. Having dial-up (with AOL didn't help at all). But there is some definite good news. ORION is back! Three of the guys (Casey, Craig and Clyde) are all living together in the same area they practice, so a lot of writing is going on. Also, Clyde upgraded his computer this summer with the intention of making it a studio. In a few months expect a demo available at the shows and on here. I say we need a few months because they need to to work out the summer kinks, finalize the new songs (and old), and figure out how to use all the nifty new stuff they bought. Also, there was a show sometime in Early September. Not much publicity was put on about it, but it rocked! The Outland has already called them and asked for a repeat performance. So, expect to hear new songs with a new sound and some unexpected covers in the months to come. Thanks for coming, and not losing faith in me.
5.3.03 - Orion just played it's last show in Springfield for awhile. It went really well and we'd like to thank Rail and everyone who showed up. You're support has been phenomenal, and you guys make it all worth it. We hope to have shows in Kansas City and St. Louis over the summer, but we'll be back and ready to rock next fall.
4.29.03 - The band has been extremely busy with school and all, seeing as how the semester is winding down. But still the have been playing shows fairly frequently. Last weekend's show was a rather wet and cold experience. We appreciate all of those who showed up to support us. Cancer is bad! There was a slight scare in the studio, but all has been figured out, and hopefully we will have a quality demo available by early summer.
4.8. 03 - The details of the gig that is happening this weekend have come to light, so that page has been updated appropriately. Also, the Sight page finally has something to show for itself, and the History page has pictures as well so that you can put a name with a face (for the handful of you who don't know all of us personally).
4.7.03 - The gig on Friday night went really well and we had a lot of fun. Recording on Sunday also went well. We got 5 songs recorded. Alas, however, they won't be mixed for awhile, but expect to see them here once they are. Also, as I'm sure you noticed by our main page, pictures were taken at the latest gig, and in the studio. Once I get off my butt, they'll be under the Sight section. But until then, you'll just have to quench your desire with the one on the main page.
4.4.03 - Orion has been busy as of late scheduling gigs for every weekend in April. Sunday April sixth, they will be in the Studio on the SMSU campus recording a demo, which should find its way onto this sight once it's suitable. This site is still in its infancy, so be sure to come back often and watch it mature.
